  • Select one cluster, and form a steering team including business and academia to plan a 1-2 day matchmaker event in one of the three SC regions with the largest concentration of companies and researchers in the sector chosen.
  • Determine a specific focus that will appeal to the SC participants in the cluster where there is greatest market potential for the Israeli companies.
  • Secure buy-in from the SC participants (potentially can recruit outside the state to extend to the Southeast and even nationally).
  • Recruit the most appealing Israeli companies, and provide guidance on the elevator pitch presentations.
  • Secure a volunteer “facilitator” for each Israeli company to assist throughout the event.
  • Arrange relevant one-on-one meetings for the SC companies / universities with Israeli companies / researchers to pursue business / research relationships.
